How long does therapy last?
In our first meeting, I will work with you to decide on a goal for our time in therapy. Some clients may come in to work on a short term issue, while others choose to stay on and work through other issues that come up later – it is up to you.
What are your fees?
Please call or email to inquire about my fee. I accept cash, checks, or credit card. Payment for the session is expected at the time of the session.
There is a 24-hour cancellation policy, and sessions will be billed if missed.
Do you take insurance?
I do not work directly with insurance companies but if you have a plan that allows you to select an out-of-network provider, you may be eligible for reimbursement. I will provide you with a receipt at the end of each session that you can submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.
I recommend checking with your insurance company to determine the extent of your out-of-network mental health benefits, including your annual deductible, the number of sessions covered per calendar year, and whether or not your sessions need to be pre-authorized.
What is your scheduling availability?
I am available to see clients in my Upper West Side office on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and I have evening hours on Tuesday and Thursday. On Wednesdays, I see clients in Scarsdale.
We will schedule a set time to meet every week, but we can be flexible regarding scheduling conflicts.
